Prior to buying this car I was running around on Volkswagen Passat 1.9 TD. In principle, there was no specific complaints to this car I was happy with it in all respects. However, one day I’ve realized that the low ground clearance and weak dynamics of the barrier after 100km / h have been unbearable flaws for me and so the idea came to my mind to buy something fresher, higher. The choice fell on the diesel Touareg, which was absent in the showrooms of Murmansk. One of the considerate owners of a showroom promised to drive Touareg from the Finland to the agreed date. So I took the money at the agreed day, went there where was prepared a big disappointment for me - the owner said, spreading his hands helplessly that he didn’t managed to drive the car. There was not much despair so with a fighting spirit I’ve started bypassing Murmansk salons. After walking a bit, I liked the Volvo XC 90 - great car in excellent condition and with a great history. 210 horses under the hood, the 2.5 liter diesel engine, lots of useful electronics, including security systems, rain sensors, electric xenon headlights, etc.
Got behind the wheel to drive, compared with my faithful Passat and bought the car without hesitation. Looks a little adventurous, but admit I have this nature - first do and then think. So having bought a car, once introduced it to service engineers who made it fresher - Changed oil in the engine and box, timing belt, checked the collapse of convergence. There were no serious flaws found to my delight. Overall cost me about 1000$. Not so much for such a vehicle. Then there was decided to replace the shock absorbers and the car in general has become “ice” - turns overcomes completely without banks, pits and potholes is so soft that I even like them run down. Dynamics is also a good 120 to 160 accelerates effortlessly, I do not give a sneaker on so much. Overall purchase was successes. Definitely worth to buy.
